Then, as the first rays of sunlight warm the landscape, they begin to disappear.
Within moments, the frost has melted, leaving behind only the memory of what was there.

From Nature to Geometry
Preserving a fleeting moment.
Every Nordic SNÖ design begins far from the studio.
Ideas are collected while walking through forests, frozen landscapes and quiet Nordic mornings. Rather than sketching products, I sketch observations—those brief moments where nature reveals a hidden order before quietly changing once again.
For Rimrose, the inspiration came from frost flowers shimmering across frozen windows and winter landscapes at first light. Their delicate crystalline branches appeared almost impossibly intricate, yet each followed its own quiet rhythm of growth. Every formation was unique, existing only for a few precious hours before melting with the morning sun.
The challenge was never to recreate the frost itself.
The challenge was to preserve the feeling of discovering it.
Through countless sketches, the complexity of the crystals was gradually distilled into a calm geometric composition. Branches became lines. Ice became rhythm. Fleeting beauty became a timeless form.
The finished geometry is laser cut from carefully selected wood, allowing daylight to interact with its open structure just as the first rays of morning light reveal frost before it slowly disappears.
What appears delicate is the result of careful observation, thoughtful refinement and the removal of everything that did not belong.
